DIRECTORS - GEORGE W. MOOLMAN
George Moolman was born on the 18th April 1947 in Kimberley and
attended school at Christian Brothers College, where he matriculated in
1964. In 1965 he commenced 5 years of Articles of Clerkship with Duncan
and Rothman in Kimberley and was admitted as an Attorney on the 12th
March 1970. Shortly thereafter he was admitted as a Notary and
Conveyancer. In July 1970 he moved to East London and joined the firm
of Addelson Shapiro and Kirk as a professional assistant. In 1973 he
was made a partner and the name of the firm changed to Addelson, Kirk
and Moolman.
George has always been a keen sportsman having played provincial
water-polo for the Griquas and provincial hockey for Border. He also
played first league cricket and presently enjoys angling and golf. He
served on the East London Attorneys Association for many years and
became it's President in 1990. He has also served as President of the
East London Club. In 1998 George was elected to the position of
Councilor of Cape Law Society and served in that position for six
years. He also served on the Disciplinary Committee of the Cape Law
Society.
He specialises in High Court Litigation and Conveyancing. He is married
to Peggy and has two daughters and a son, all of whom are living in the
U.S.A.
